Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

At Saunas Plus LLC ("SaunasPlus," "we," "us"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains in plain language what information we collect when you visit saunasplus.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

We collect two kinds of information:

Information you give us directly

• Name, email address, and phone number when you fill out a contact form, newsletter signup, or calculator
• Project details you share (sauna type, size preferences, location)
• Messages you send us through forms or email
• Communication preferences

Information collected automatically

• Pages you visit and how long you spend on them
• Clicks, button presses, and form interactions (for example, using the cost or heater calculators)
• Device and browser information (browser type, operating system, screen size)
• Approximate location derived from your IP address (city/region level, never precise)
• Website performance data (page load times, layout shifts)
• JavaScript error reports that help us fix bugs

3. How We Use Your Information

• Respond to your inquiries and provide quotes
• Send the newsletter if you signed up for it
• Understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it
• Fix bugs and monitor site performance
• Measure which pages and calculators are most helpful
• Protect against fraud and abuse

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising on other websites.

4. Information Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site:

• PostHog — our analytics provider (see Section 5)
• Google Tag Manager — helps us manage site tags and measurement (see Section 5)
• Formspree — delivers contact form submissions to our inbox

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or with your consent.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar storage (like your browser's local storage) to understand how our site is used and to remember your choices, such as your cookie consent preference.

PostHog (analytics)

We use PostHog, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how visitors use our website. PostHog records:

• Pages you visit and time spent on each page
• Clicks on buttons, links, and calculator interactions
• Form submissions (for example, requesting a consultation or estimate)
• Technical data: browser type, device type, approximate location
• Page performance metrics (load speed, visual stability)
• JavaScript errors, which help us fix bugs

When you submit a form with your email address, we link that email to your anonymous browsing profile so we can understand the full journey from first visit to inquiry. PostHog stores a cookie in your browser to recognize return visits. PostHog does not sell this data and processes it on our behalf under their data processing terms. Data is hosted in the United States.

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager to manage measurement tags on our site. It helps us organize analytics and does not itself collect personal information, but tags managed through it may.

Your choices

• Use the cookie banner on our site to accept or decline analytics tracking at any time.
• You can opt out of PostHog tracking by enabling Do Not Track in your browser settings — we honor it.
• You can clear cookies in your browser settings to remove stored identifiers.
• You can contact us at contact@saunasplus.com to request deletion of your analytics data.

6. Data Retention

• Analytics data is retained according to PostHog's data retention settings, currently up to 3 years, after which it is automatically deleted.
• Form submissions (contact requests, quote inquiries) are kept as business records for as long as needed to serve you and meet legal obligations.
• Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

7. Do Not Track and Opt-Out Rights

We honor Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. If DNT is enabled in your browser, PostHog will not track your visit.

You may also opt out of analytics tracking at any time using the cookie preferences banner on our site, or by emailing contact@saunasplus.com with the subject "Opt out of analytics."

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to form submission data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent at any time (for example, via the cookie banner)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@saunasplus.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
